Too shy to meet someone?
Have you ever watched someone that is shy?
You can many times tell just by their body language.
- The way that they stand conveys the lack of confidence.
- Their eyes do not meet yours or those of the person they are speaking too or anyone that walks past and tries to connect.
- They many times have a nervous habits, such as biting their nails or playing with their hair that shows their nervousness.
- They may have a nervous laugh while talking to someone when they do not know what else to say.
Does any of this sound familiar?
Changing your body language cannot only help change the way others perceive you, it can help you gain confidence.
- Try standing straight with your head held up high looking around as you walk glancing about at the people around you and actually meeting their gaze without feeling the need to put your head down or look away.
- Now add a smile to that jester and you have a look of confidence and warmth that has made you much more approachable and friendly.
- These two non verbal body languages have made a huge change in how people will interact with you. Because you have met their gaze you are showing an interest and can start an interaction. With your head held up high you look confident as you gaze around and as you smile others are much more prone to want to meet you and be willing to interact with you.
- Many times people do not understand that someone is shy and they just feel they are not interested in getting to know them.
- The more you can change your body language to reflect your real feelings it will help you interact better with your friends and loved ones.
- You will find small changes will give you great rewards and hopefully that will encourage you to make more changes in opening up your body language!
